Description

What We Need to Know About the Orchid Plant.

On a certain day of the year, yellowed or rotten leaves should be pruned with the help of scissors. This plant, which does not want direct sunlight, can also benefit from other lights. Regardless of winter or summer, it should be cared for in a place with room temperature. Measures should be taken to protect the orchid plant, which is easily affected by air currents, from this effect.

Like any plant, the plant that consumes the vitamins and minerals in the soil over time should be provided with vitamin and mineral support at least once or twice a year. Pot change should be done in May, which is usually the beginning of the warmer months. The orchid should not be in contact with other objects in the place where it is located. If found, there may be spotting on the orchid. The most important rule in growing orchid plants is that the room temperature should not be below 15 ° C in winter. Care should be taken to ensure that there are no plants in flattened places that orchids do not like.

Issues to be considered in irrigation;

-We should not give the plant cold tap water that we get from the tap in winter. The water we give should be at room temperature.

-In winter, the plant should be watered very little, protecting it from extreme cold.

-In the summer months, the water given to the plant should be increased as the need for water will increase.

-Water should be delivered to every part of the soil.

-The container used to water the plant should be the same size in each watering, and the watering should be done on the same day and with the same amounts of water

-Unless there is a major change in the orchid, the container, size and amount of water used in irrigation should not be changed.

Reproduction of Orchid Plant:

Reproduction of the orchid can be by the method of separation from the roots of the plant. The thin parts extending from the root of the plant to the upper parts form new plants that resemble plants. We can create new orchids by taking these new plants and planting them in other pots. This method is both easy and effortless.
